What you’re looking at

This is the State of the Sector dashboard for Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire, built by the VCSE Observatory for the VCSE Alliance. Each page summarises survey responses from local VCSE organisations — headline indicators first, then charts.

Moving around

• Use the sidebar (or the menu button on a phone) to switch between Respondents profile, Finance, Workforce, Demand, Wellbeing and Partnerships.
• Filters stay applied when you change page.
• Home and Insights Report links are in the sidebar footer.

Filters

• Open Filters to narrow by organisation size, area, legal form, main activity and more.
• Within a filter, selecting several options means “any of these”. Across filters, selections combine (AND).
• If a combination leaves fewer than 10 organisations, it won’t apply — widen or clear filters.
• When a chart’s categories match a filter (e.g. organisation size), the full distribution stays visible and your selection is highlighted in green.

Charts

• Hover a bar or slice for percentage, option count and how many answered.
• Use the chart buttons to switch orientation or download a PNG.
• Downloaded charts include a VCSE Observatory source line, a faint watermark, and any filters you applied.
• Use PDF to export this page, all pages, or a custom mix of KPIs and charts.
